Scott Rupprecht
Full-Stack Software Engineer
About Me
My name is Scott Rupprecht. I am a thirty-something Senior Software Engineer hailing from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I graduated out of UW-Whitewater in 2015 and have been a professional software engineer ever since. I enjoy efficiently solving problems with software both inside and outside of work with proven abilities both server-side and client-side. In September of 2020 I married the love of my life, Micaela. In our free time we enjoy taking in dinner and drinks before catching a Rock N' Roll concert in a venue inconveniently far from home.
Experience
I graduated from UW-Whitewater Magna Cum Laude in May 2015 with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. During my time at Whitewater I participated in three separate undergraduate research projects, was the student lead for the James R. Connor University Center Tech Crew, and also served as an Audio engineer at the campus radio station, 91.7 the Edge.

Upon graduating UW-Whitewater, I immediately started working as a Software Developer at Quad/Graphics in 2015. In February of 2017 I was promoted to Software Engineer. During this time I worked towards becoming a proficient full-stack developer with the majority of my time spent creating and maintaining internal web applications utilizing .NET Framework on the back-end with jQuery front-ends. Later, I was afforded the opportunity to develop front-ends in React.JS, ultimately architecting the first entirely React.JS based app at Quad, a practice which is now an accepted standard across development teams. I presented at the first two annual developer conferences giving presentations on RESTful best practices and React.JS + Redux.
